Shang Pu consulting machinery industry analyst pointed out that: Overall, the current domestic pressure sensor manufacturers, whether in terms of technical quality, production capacity, or in the production scale of the gap is relatively large. In this low-level competition in price wars, competition has become fierce and caused a decline in product quality. In the face of fierce market competition, pressure sensor manufacturers reduce costs through different methods, control fixed expenses, and strengthen new technology development. In the future competition, those companies with strong technical strength and good product quality will be in an advantageous position in the industry.
At present, China's pressure sensor industry not only has many problems in its products, but its manufacturing companies also have certain disadvantages. At present, China's pressure sensor products still have poor reliability, insufficient research on basic technologies and manufacturing processes, poor product performance and functionality, slow product technology update cycles, and lack of dedicated solutions developed for use. China's pressure sensor manufacturers have the disadvantages of small industry scale, low industrial output value, low labor productivity of enterprises, and insufficient investment in technology development of enterprises.
According to the [2011 China Miniature Pressure Sensor Market Analysis and Investment Value Study Report" issued by Champion Consulting, it shows that there are still many deficiencies in the development of the pressure sensor industry. However, under the stable market expansion of pressure sensors in China, it is estimated that in 2014, pressure sensors will replace accelerometers and gyroscopes and become the highest-income devices in MEMS. In 2014, the output value of pressure sensors will reach 1.85 billion U.S. dollars. Among them, the automotive industry will be the largest application area for pressure sensors, followed by the medical electronics industry and the industrial sector, with the rest being consumer electronics and military aviation.
